Case Overview

The patient, an 18-week-old female Yorkshire Terrier, was referred for surgery on October 21, 2025. The dog had sustained a fall from the owner’s arms, resulting in a fracture of the proximal tibial metaphysis just below the growth plate, along with a fibular fracture. Given the patient’s very small size and young age, precise anatomical fixation and minimal disruption of the growth zone were essential.
