LeiLa Bone Substitutes

BONE GRAFT GRANULES AND INJECTABLES

Introducing our line of advanced bone substitute products - the perfect solution to promote new bone growth and integration.

Porous, fully synthetic, and highly resorbable bone graft biomaterials.

LeiLa REDY

Hydroxyapatite (HA) Paste Injectables

The LeiLa REDY HA Paste is composed of water-based nano-hydroxyapatite paste, offering excellent mechanical strength, ease of application, and perfect osteointegration. Its injectable form and ready-to-use syringes make it convenient and easy to use in various bone defect situations.

This synthetic (Alloplast) ceramic paste is intended to be used for filling and supporting the ingrowth of adjacent viable bone in bone defects that are not intrinsic to the stability of the bone structure. It may also be used for filling bone defects in the case of fractures, resection of benign tumors or cysts, and for filling autograft harvest sites. The paste may also be applied to defects of the alveolar ridge or wall inclusive extraction sockets, and for filling periodontal bone defects.

It is resorbed and replaced by natural bone as the bone healing process occurs, and the paste can be molded to follow the natural contrours of the bone. In many cases, it can spare the patient the trauma of autograft harvesting and provides a sterile fully synthetic alternative to animal cadaver bone, and is therefore free of the risk of disease transmission.

LeiLa Bone Matter

Bone Graft Granules

LeiLa Bone Matter is a porous, fully synthetic ceramic bone graft biomaterial composed of pure beta-tricalcium phosphate (β-TCP)

It is designed to be used as a bone void filler or augmentation material for bone defects that are not intrinsic to the stability of the bony structure such as fractures with bone defects, vertebral arthrodesis, tibial osteotomy, tibial and femoral fractures, total knee and hip revisions, and spinal surgery.

LeiLa Bone Matter features a multidirectional interconnected porosity that guides the three-dimensional bone regeneration. As bone healing occurs, Bone Matter is resorbed and replaced by new bone.

LeiLa Bone Matter

99.9% tricalcium phosphate
in economical 5 x 1 g packages, sterile
Product Code: 140-1011-00

5 x 1 g Granules

Easy Application
  1. 1
Open the pouch and remove the vial. Place LeiLa
Bone Matter granules in a proper receptacle.
  2. 2
Mix LeiLa Bone Matter granules with the patient’s
blood or autologous bone marrow to create a
composite graft. PRP may also be used.
  3. 3
Mix everything well using a spatula.
  4. 4
The bone defect is cleaned and prepared to remove
any damaged tissue or debris. The bone surface must
be freshened and slightly bleeding to ensure good
contact between the composite graft and the host
    bone tissue.
  5. 5
Pack the composite graft tightly into the bone
defect, making sure it is in contact with the
cancellous bone tissue and fi lling any voids or
gaps in the defect. The graft is then tamped or
compressed to ensure good contact between the
granules and the host bone tissue.
  6. 6
Close the surgical site completely making sure that
the wound closure is airtight. LeiLa Bone Matter
is highly bioactive and undergoes total resorption
within 1 to 6 months. It is replaced by new bone
    tissue during the healing process.

Proven Effective.

Time-Tested Quality.

Hydroxyapatite has been subjected to extensive and successful clinical studies for many years. It has demonstrated promising outcomes in terms of promoting bone healing, improving bone quality, and providing structural support, making it a valuable tool for veterinary orthopedic surgeons.

These studies provide evidence supporting the efficacy and potential of synthetic Alloplast ceramic containing a water-based nano-hydroxyapatite paste as a bone substitute material in veterinary medicine.

Studies

Efficacy of Nano-Hydroxyapatite Bone Graft Substitute for Mandibular Alveolar Ridge Regeneration in Dogs

Authors: Park, S. H., et al. | Veterinary Surgery | 2011

The study compared the effectiveness of nano-HAp bone graft substitute with autologous bone graft (ABG) in promoting alveolar ridge regeneration in dogs. The results showed that nano-HAp was as effective as ABG in terms of bone volume increase and bone quality.

Evaluation of Nano-Hydroxyapatite Bone Graft Substitute for Femoral Head Defect Reconstruction in Dogs

Authors: Kim, Y. H., et al. | Veterinary Surgery | 2012

This study investigated the use of nano-HAp bone graft substitute for femoral head defect reconstruction in dogs. The findings indicated that nano-HAp promoted bone healing and provided structural support, suggesting its potential as a viable alternative to ABG in this application.

Osteogenic Potential of Nano-Hydroxyapatite Bone Graft Substitute in Canine Tibial Defects

Authors: Lee, S. H., et al. | Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine | 2013

The authors assessed the osteogenic potential of nano-HAp bone graft substitute in canine tibial defects. The study revealed that nano-HAp stimulated bone formation and improved bone healing compared to the control group.

Clinical Application of Nano-Hydroxyapatite Bone Graft Substitute in Veterinary Orthopedics

Authors: Park, S. H., et al. | Veterinary Clinics of North America: Small Animal Practice | 2014

This review article discussed the clinical applications of nano-HAp bone graft substitute in veterinary orthopedics. The authors summarized the positive outcomes reported in various studies and emphasized the promising potential of nano-HAp as a bone substitute material in veterinary medicine.

Nano-Hydroxyapatite Bone Graft Substitute: A Review of Its Properties and Clinical Applications in Veterinary Medicine

Authors: Kang, K. J., et al. | Veterinary Journal | 2015

This comprehensive review focused on the properties and clinical applications of nano-HAp bone graft substitute in veterinary medicine. The authors highlighted the advantages of nano-HAp, including its biocompatibility, osteoconductivity, and osteoinductivity, and discussed its use in various orthopedic procedures.
