Course Description
Building upon the foundational knowledge on fracture management, this advanced program offers veterinarians a deeper dive into the complexities of fracture treatment. Over the course of two days, participants will explore a wide range of fractures and their corresponding fixation methods, gaining invaluable insights and practical skills to enhance their proficiency in managing complex cases.

In this advanced course, participants will:

  • Begin with an extensive overview, and examine fractures and fixation techniques pertaining to bones such as the humerus, radius/ulna, femur, tibia/fibula, pelvis, tarsus, and others.
  • Delve deeper into fractures and fixations across different bone structures.
  • be focusing on additional bone types, ensuring participants have a thorough understanding of treatment options.
  • Apply their knowledge by practicing plate osteosynthesis techniques using the LeiLOX Systems.
  • Learn about Salter-Harris fractures, providing participants with insights into diagnosing and managing these common pediatric injuries.
  • Explore bridging techniques for fractures, offering strategies to stabilize and promote healing in challenging cases.
  • Delve into the complexities of open fractures, learning effective treatment approaches to mitigate complications and optimize outcomes.
  • Discover real-world case studies that provide a practical application of theoretical concepts, allowing participants to analyze and formulate treatment plans for complex scenarios.
  • Have the opportunity to address any remaining questions.
About LeiLOX Locking Systems
The LeiLOX Locking Systems are 100% Made in Germany. These are specifically designed for dogs and cats and are suitable for a variety of applications: fractures of long bones, pelvic fractures, periarticular fractures, rod-plate constructs, Oral Maxillofacial, corrective osteotomies, and more can be treated with a variety of plates and screws from this system.

The LeiLOX 1.5/2.0 Micro Locking System was specifically developed for very small dogs and cats. The implants are made of the highest quality titanium, offering several advantages: Titanium provides excellent biocompatibility, minimal temperature sensitivity, low weight combined with high strength and rigidity.

The LeiLOX 2.0-3.5 Stainless Steel Locking System is made of the highest quality surgical implant steel. Stainless Steel implants are designed to withstand high loads and forces, which is particularly necessary for large and giant breed patients. In addition, the multi-axial locking system allows for greater flexibility in fixation.
